20. Sep 2019 Datwyler to host the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) training course “Characteristics of Pharmaceutical Elastomers and Aluminum Seals in Parenteral Packaging Systems” in Middletown, Delaware

On October 29th – 30th, Datwyler will be hosting the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) training course “Characteristics of Pharmaceutical Elastomers and Aluminum Seals in Parenteral Packaging Systems” at our First Line facility in Middletown, Delaware.

The two-day training course will provide insight into the fundamentals of pharmaceutical elastomers with practical considerations. Datwyler experts, Renaud Janssen and Rahul Thakar, will describe component selection strategies, review manufacturing technologies, component processing and sterilization techniques. There will be a focus to understand the origin of defects and analytical tools applied for their characterization.

Chantelle Pline, the subject matter expert on rubber components at Pfizer, will be providing the pharmaceutical perspective of component selection, focusing on common challenges with pharmaceutical drug packaging.

Attendees of the course will also receive a tour of Datwyler’s First Line Visitor Center.
