10. Oct 2016 Datwyler at PDA in Huntington Beach, CA

Datwyler is looking forward to participating on October 17 – 18 as an exhibitor at the 2016 PDA Universe of Pre-filled Syringes and Injection Devices conference – the must-attend event for all industry professionals involved in the development, manufacturing, testing, or marketing of pre-filled syringes and injection devices!

The Parenteral Drug Association brings together industry and regulatory experts to share their experiences, new developments, regulatory considerations, challenges, industry trends, and best practices at this exciting event.

Susan M. Dounce, Ph.D., Senior Manager Business Development and Innovation, will deliver a poster presentation to the conference audience focused on results of Finite Element simulations performed by Raphael Kaelin, Simulation Engineer. “How an elastomeric plunger design impacts syringe delivery forces is a complex problem which depends on many factors. We will discuss how Finite Element simulations can be a useful tool to provide qualitative predictions of prefilled syringe performance. Specifically, we will address the relative impacts of the material model used, the influence of plunger and plunger rod design, and the impact of drug formulation viscosity on not only hydrodynamic forces but also frictional forces”, says Dr. Dounce.

At booth 300, Datwyler will introduce exhibition visitors to FIRSTLINE™, our ongoing commitment to the highest levels of quality, and to OmniflexCP®, our coated plungers to meet the highest demands for quality and performance. No matter what the future holds.
