The Project Engineer draws specifications for machinery, equipment, and related processes used to produce primary and secondary packaging components for the parenteral pharmaceutical market. He/She evaluates mechanical and electrical operations and ensures that they support on-time production, and that they optimize high quality output and resource utilization. The project engineer develops procedures for and trains on equipment and its use.
Areas of responsibility
Engineering: Will design machinery, equipment, and related processes used to produce primary and secondary packaging components for the parenteral pharmaceutical market. Will ensures timely completion of projects including: procurement, installation and validation of equipment/process.
Production Support: Will evaluate mechanical and electrical operations. He/she ensures that they support on-time production. Will also optimize high quality output and resource utilization.
Maintenance Support: Will review and recommend new or enhanced procedures and/or processes to maximize efficiency and to continuously improve quality of product produced. Will work with maintenance managers on mechanical downtime and problem solving ideas for machines.
Position Requirements: a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in automation or industrial engineering with a 5 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable. Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
