The Process Engineer evaluates mechanical and electrical operations and ensures that they support on-time production and that they optimize high quality output and resource utilization. This position will also develop new procedures and address concerns related to instructions. The role calls for the ability to apply the principles and concepts of mechanical engineering and its sub-disciplines in the design of effective mechanical operations. A diverse knowledge of machinery and equipment, control methods, techniques and documentation are also key skills for this position.
Areas of responsibility
Validation Documents: The Process Engineer will create and assist with the execution of User Requirement Specifications, Functional Design Specifications, Quality Critical Design Specifications, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, Performance Qualification and Process Validation documents. Will also review and approve validation and verification documents and procedures related to such activities.
Process Engineering: Analyze test data against established protocols and develop validation strategies to address anomalies or deviations.
Calibration: Manage plant calibration master list.
Ensures Quality Standards of Production: Manages the department's CAPA processing, validation, process improvements and establishes the department direction for future projects. Will address customer complaints by developing short-term and long-term plans to prevent recurring issues. Reviews and recommends new or enhanced procedures and/or processes to maximize efficiency and to continuously improve quality of product produced.
Training: Collaborates and trains on new procedures, and addresses concerns related to instructions.
You are a professional with working knowledge of manufacturing workflows and demonstrated engineering experience with a minimum of two years is desired. Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline. You will also have strong interpersonal and team-building skills as well as effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
