Key Account Manager-Healthcare 

The position

Position to hold significant responsibility to proactively manage the organization’s key customer accounts with the objective of maintaining and building effective relationships within all relevant departments.

Areas of responsibility

Account Maintenance and Development: The Key Account Manager will contribute to the company’s efforts to maintain existing business and develop new business opportunities with multinational pharmaceutical customers. The Key Account Manager will mainly focus on key accounts in Mexico.

Industry Knowledge and Understanding: Strong understanding of the customer base, considerable awareness of the market, good knowledge and understanding of the complex cycle of drug and device development. The Key Account Manager will already have a substantial understanding of the industry and the major pharmaceutical companies and thorough understanding of the regulatory environment (FDA/EMA) in which the pharmaceutical industry operates.

Effective Account Planning: The position’s responsibilities will include effective account planning along with coordinating and managing customer’s needs and requests all while growing the market share through customer focused knowledge with internal support throughout all departments.

Sales Management: The Key Account Manager is responsible for the management of customer’s sales and projects with a strong focus on client service delivery, international business, technical and interpersonal skills.

You are a professional residing in Mexico City or Guadalajara with a Bachelor’s degree in either engineering, science or business with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business to business sales and account management.  You are willing to travel domestically and overseas at least 25% of the time and are motivated to achieve results.  You also have strong interpersonal and team-building skills as well as effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
