As part of the global Sales Team, reporting directly to the Head of Sales Container Closures,  you will contribute to the company’s efforts to maintain existing business and develop new business opportunities with multinational pharmaceutical customers.
In this role, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for:

You will act as the primary point of contact for your customers and assure a smooth interaction at all levels of the relationship. In close collaboration with the relevant Customer Service Representative, you will guarantee an outstanding and reliable service experience leading to the highest customer satisfaction. You will organize customer visits, on-site or at the customer and liaise with members of the internal Value Chain. You determine tactics and develop actions supporting the achievement of the segment’s customer satisfaction targets.

You will manage the existing business and develop new business within the assigned account portfolio utilizing Strategic Account Management instruments as well as Market Strategy Instruments. While doing so, you ensure a flawless collaboration and communication with the other departments While setting and monitoring achievement of the budget, ensure a correct application of the available Sales Instruments.

You will support the Head of Sales Container Closures in compiling strategic content through providing customer, market and competitor information. You will translate the strategy Container Closures into Market Strategy at customer level by developing the Strategic Account Management Model (SAM PLAN) for the assigned customer and/or customer portfolio. You will manage and execute the Strategic Account Management Model within the assigned customer portfolio through the definition of customer focused actions.

The role calls for an understanding of the customer base, considerable awareness of the market, good knowledge and understanding of the complex cycle of drug and device development. Preferably, the Key Account Manager will already have a substantial understanding of the industry and the major pharmaceutical companies. A thorough understanding of the regulatory environment (FDA/EMEA) in which the pharmaceutical industry operates is desired. You hold a bachelor’s degree and three to five years work experience in a similar environment, preferably in an international setting. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of marketing and sales/new business development processes is a plus. In order to build a strong market position and achieve the defined budget targets, you can rely on analytical skills and an innovative spirit. You love to solve problems, to perform research and to dive into new projects in order to exceed customer expectations. You understand that good communication and solid teamwork are of prime importance to achieve success. Your strategic efficiency, strong commitment and great sense of continuous improvement have a positive effect on all colleagues and clients, taking the company activities to the next level. It goes without saying that excellent knowledge of English is required every other language is a plus.
You are willing to travel frequently (50%). It is possible to work in Home Office.
