Head of Human Resources - Americas
The Head of Human Resources – Americas is responsible for ensuring alignment of strategic initiatives and programs, procedures and processes in the North American region. This role is an integral part of the management team providing guidance and counsel and coaching to plant management teams, Site Directors and Sales and Quality leaders. The incumbent of this position leads labor relations; provides direct HR Management support to the New Jersey manufacturing facility while overseeing the HR function for two other plants located in the U.S.
Areas of responsibility
Management of Programs and Processes: The Head of HR works with colleagues locally, regionally and globally to provide support and analysis of U.S. and Group HR issues. This position will recommend, develop and implement new global procedures and processes.
Management of Staff: Manage and oversee all direct and matrix staff. The position will be responsible to hire, train and develop staff in accordance with business needs and strategic goals.
Compliance: This position will ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and Company standards.
Labor Relations: Leads labor relations for specific unionized plant. Will develop and execute strategic labor strategy with Site Director/VP.
You have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR Management experience. Previous manufacturing and Labor Relations experience a must. Must also be willing to work a flexible schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing operations. Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of HR experience and education. PHR/SPHR preferred. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organization planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety and training preferred.
