Initially, the position will hold significant responsibility as part of greenfield project team to assist in the setup of a clean, pharma packaging manufacturing environment. Once the state of the art manufacturing facility is operational the incumbent will move into an engineering support function for the local operation.
Areas of responsibility
Capital Investment: will lead capital investment projects for respective department and will manage the installation and start-up of process related equipment in coordination with Engineering Centers of Expertise and Contractors.
Process Development: will work cooperatively with R&D to improve processes.
Continuous Improvement: will follow up on process performance and suggest and introduce improvements. Will manage projects in line with the good standards (Safety, Quality, Time, Budget) and continuously work to improve standard processes.
Position Requirements: a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, rubber or pharma packaging manufacturing environment a plus. Value stream mapping required. Six Sigma knowledge preferred and knowledge of SAP/MES required. Automation/Controls engineering understanding is preferred. ATEX understanding preferred.
During the initial training incumbent will be required to travel to Europe for extensive process/product training. During the first year of employment travel expectation will be a minimum of 25%-30% international travel. After initial training incumbent can expect travel requirement of approximately 5%-10% yearly.
